List of Governors

There are three types of governor:

• Appointed Governors
• Public Governors
• Staff Governors

Although these governors are appointed in different ways, all governors have an equal seat at the Council of Governors.

Governors represent the views of Trust Members and so raise questions with or bring issues to the Board of Directors for response or comment.

Working groups

There are four working groups made up of different governors:

• Business & Planning Working Group: Considers the Trust's budgetary position.
• Engagement & Membership Working Group: Considers membership engagement projects, strategies and governor's skills and training.
• Nomination and Remuneration Committee: Considers the appointment of non-executive directors.
• People’s Experience & Quality Working Group: Considers issues affecting patient safety and quality.
