Our staff networks are vital in promoting the inclusion of staff.
These include our Race Equality Network, LGBTQ+ Network, the Differently Abled Network, and the Women’s Network.
We also have a our staff and patient focussed Carers and Armed Forces networks, reflecting our ongoing commitment to equality, diversity, and improving the healthcare experience for all.
The network is open to staff who are serving, or related to someone who serves, or has served, in the armed forces.
It provides a safe space for staff to share experiences and meet other colleagues with similar interests or concerns.
The network provides support and information for staff who may be caring for a family member, relative or friend whilst balancing working life.
Joining the network enables our staff access to many resources, as well as the opportunity to speak with other colleagues in a safe and friendly space.
The Differently Abled Network is a space for staff to connect, share experiences and information, and support each other.
It raises awareness of disability issues and aims to actively influence policies that may impact differently abled staff, and support the recruitment of people with disabilities.
We also support the LGBTQ+ community and place great importance on, and are committed to, equality for all.
The network aims to increase awareness of issues that specifically LGBTQ+ staff face, and influence Trust policies and strategies.
Our Race Equality Network directly feeds into policies around workforce equality and diversity.
This group provides a safe and confidential environment to share experiences in a meaningful way to affect real change.
The Women's Network gives a collective voice to staff, and opportunities to influence change for the women working across the Trust.
Like our other staff networks, the Women’s Network is led by the discussions staff want to have and the changes they want to see.
