Gastrointestinal Cancer

This team supports patients who have a cancer of the gastrointestinal tract.  

This can include cancer of the:

• Oesophagus
• Anus
• Stomach
• Liver
• Small Bowel
• Pancreas
• Colon (Large Bowel)
• Bile Ducts

The team supports patients by:

• Being a point of contact for you throughout your treatment and on-going care
• Providing emotional support and expert clinical advice
• Referring and signposting to other support services (e.g. psychological, financial, social and community, including support groups)
• Health promotion, education and provision of holistic needs assessments
• Advice and support for living well with cancer and beyond cancer treatment, alongside the Macmillan Personalised Care Team.
