Workshops

Cancer-site specific health and wellbeing days

We provide health and wellbeing education and information days specific to each cancer type.

These days run from 10am to 3pm and we have a combination of interactive sessions and talks from a variety of professionals.

We look at topics and issues affecting each specific cancer site and tailor our programme accordingly.

We also have broader health and wellbeing talks on common issues affecting people living with and beyond cancer, such as; fatigue, exercise, diet and psychological wellbeing.

Fatigue workshops

This is a relaxed and informative workshop designed to help you develop practical strategies for managing your cancer-related fatigue, including recognising patterns of fatigue, pacing, balancing activity and rest, exercise and goal setting.

The workshop offers a supportive space to connect with others experiencing similar challenges.

We run both face-to-face and virtual fatigue workshops.

Face-to-face workshops: A 2.5-hour face to face workshop, held monthly in the community

Virtual workshops: This  2.5-hour virtual fatigue workshop is run on an ad-hoc basis.

Sleep workshops

This workshop explores common sleep problems and strategies to improve your sleep.

We will cover sleep hygiene, managing thoughts in the night and strategies for improving your sleep routines.

Virtual workshops: Three x one-hour virtual sessions, run bi-monthly.

Take Control

Take Control is a four-hour course which provides education / information, tools and strategies that enhance and maintain health and wellbeing.

A focus is given to topics that commonly affect people after a diagnosis, such as; fatigue, stress, diet, exercise, sleep and fear of recurrence.
