Morturary and Bereavement services

Following a death, please contact the Mortuary and Bereavement Services the next working day.

We provide advice, support and assistance to bereaved relatives and carers by helping them through the procedures following a death.

We also host the Medical Examiner Service, which provides independent scrutiny of causes of death, care before death and facilitates feedback from the bereaved.

We can help you deal with issues such as:

• Contact with the Coroner Service  
• Liaising with funeral directors
• Other legal documentation that may be required
